v28-4 Made in Chicago Gallery talk

Vol. XXVIII No. 4 - FALL 2017

On November 16 we celebrated the Made in Chicago exhibit with curator Andrew Clayman who was in town for a week. As part of his gallery talk he shared many amusing stories about the collection of industrial objects that are shown in the exhibit. Because of the good publicity this exhibit has had, we have been meeting relatives of the founders of several of the original companies. First there was a group from Massachusetts who were related to Thomas Wilson, of Wilson Sporting Goods. Recently Brooke Bremner stopped by. She is the great granddaughter of the founder of the Bremner Biscuit Company. She timed her visit just right, as Andrew had offered a free poster to the person who came to visit the exhibit at 1:30 on Saturday Nov. 18 while he was here.

We still have a few posters left for sale at $20 but you have to come and get them.
