Vol. XXIV No. 2 - SUMMER 2013

On April 6th, the Edgewater Historical Society hosted a lecture by Patrick Steffes on Chicago’s shoreline motels. Mr. Steffes presented rare and seldom seen images while giving a lively talk. This event turned out to be so popular that Bob Remer, EHS president, actually had to turn people away because we not only used every chair we had, but there wasn’t any more standing room. We are sorry for the inconvenience. Additional publicity in the Tribune may be the reason for the crowd.

We plan on having Mr. Steffes back sometime in the not too distant future. In the meantime, you may want to check out www.forgottenchicago.com

If you want to be updated on EHS activities you need to get on our email list so we can contact you on a regular basis.
